Mona Vale Doctors is a boutique, independent practice located in the heart of the Northern Beaches. We're proudly non-corporate, which means decisions are made here by the people who work here.

About the Practice
Established in 2006, Mona Vale Doctors has intentionally remained a small, close-knit team. We’re currently four female GPs, supported by two experienced practice nurses, and a cohesive, friendly management and reception team.
We focus on consistent, high-quality care, and clear, respectful communication - with our patients and with each other. The atmosphere here is professional yet relaxed, and we’re committed to offering flexible working arrangements that support work-life balance. We’ve built a culture that values collaboration, autonomy and well-being.

The Two Positions
We have two positions available for vocationally registered GPs. Both offer the same remuneration, flexibility, and partnership pathway - the main differences are in patient demographics and practice context.
Male General PRactitioner
This is currently the only male GP position in our practice. There's high existing demand from male patients seeking a male doctor for male-related health issues, which means you'll have an established patient base from day one.
The broader patient list includes general practice across all demographics, with natural opportunities to develop special interests in men's health, sports medicine, or procedures if that interests you.
Female General PRactitioneR
The practice is owned and led by a female principal GP who understands first-hand the importance of balancing clinical work with life outside medicine.
Strong patient base for women's health and family medicine, with opportunities to develop expertise in pregnancy care, pediatrics, mental health, or chronic disease management if that appeals.
Both positions suit GPs who value clinical autonomy, a supportive and collaborative team environment, and the freedom to practise medicine without the constraints of corporate oversight. There's a partnership pathway available for the right person over time.
What you’ll walk into
PATIENT LIST
You'll inherit an established patient list from a recently retired GP - established books from day one. Our patients value continuity and are looking for a long-term GP relationship.
WORKSPACE
Recently renovated practice with thoughtfully designed consulting rooms to support both comfort and clinical work. Floor-to-ceiling windows, natural light, views over a private tropical courtyard and windows for ventilation - Serene, functional spaces.
SUPPORT
Experienced practice nurses for health assessments, immunisations, procedures, and wound care
Professional management team handling business operations, HR, compliance
Efficient reception team managing appointments, billing, communications
Best Practice and HotDoc systems with IT support
Good pathology relationships and service
You focus on clinical work; we handle the operations
Financial Arrangements
We believe in fair, transparent arrangements that reflect your contribution.
Percentage Split: 70% of gross billings
Guaranteed Minimum: $200/hour for the first 6 months whilst you establish your patient base
Fee Structure: Standard consultation $105, concession $75 (private billing practice)

Practice Covers:
All staff salaries, facilities, equipment, IT, marketing, compliance, business operations
Partnership Option: For GPs interested in practice ownership, there's a genuine pathway to partnership after establishing yourself in the practice. This is available for either position and typically develops over 4-6 years based on mutual fit and interest.
Work Arrangements
We respect your time - both clinical and non-clinical.
Schedule:
4-10 sessions per week (2-5 days)
No mandatory after-hours or weekend work (Saturday mornings optional)
Flexible daily hours to accommodate personal commitments
Leave:
Leave with locum coverage arranged by the practice
Professional development leave supported
Professional Development:
Support for developing special interests
Regular peer learning groups
Regular team meetings
Clinical Autonomy
We trust our GPs to make the right decisions for their patients - without interference.
You'll have genuine clinical independence:
Control your consultation lengths
Design your own appointment book and patient load
No KPIs or productivity targets
No pressure to bulk bill
Decisions about the practice are made here by GPs, not by corporate management elsewhere.

Mona Vale is located 28km north of Sydney's CBD on the Northern Beaches. With beautiful beaches, great schools, and a strong sense of community, it offers an enviable outdoor lifestyle that’s hard to beat.
Mona Vale Doctors is centrally located on the main street, surrounded by busy shops, cafes, and restaurants. Mona Vale Village Park is just a short stroll away, perfect for a peaceful outdoor lunch. Mona Vale Beach is 5 minutes drive away for a quick swim or surf before work or during lunch.
Secure undercover parking is available on-site and we’re easily accessible from both the Northern Beaches and the North Shore.

Requirements
Vocationally registered GP (FRACGP, FACRRM, or equivalent)
Current AHPRA registration with no conditions
Commitment to quality patient care
Team player who values both autonomy and collaboration
