Healthy Babies Start with Regular Checks

Those early months fly by, and regular health checks help ensure your baby is growing well and meeting important milestones. They’re also a chance to ask your GP questions, share concerns, and feel supported as a parent.

Frequent visits also help your GP understand what’s typical for your baby, making it easier to notice small changes and act early if needed.

NSW Health’s Blue Book recommends regular health and development checks for children at specific ages: 6-8 weeks, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 2 years, 3 years, and 4 years and are designed to track your child’s growth and development, ensuring any concerns are addressed early.

With a GP who knows your baby well, each visit becomes a reassuring step in helping your baby grow and thrive.
