The pathology request form from your doctor
Your Medicare card or Veterans' Affairs card
Your private health insurance details (if you don't have a Medicare card)
Any previous pathology results if requested by your doctor

For most pathology collection services, no appointment is necessary. Simply come in during our collection hours with your pathology request form.
However, Holter monitor and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring do require appointments - please contact 4Cyte Pathology on 0411 024 079 to schedule these services.
If you're having a test that requires special preparation (such as fasting), please follow the instructions on your request form.

This depends on the tests your doctor has ordered. Your pathology request form will indicate if fasting is required. Fasting typically means no food or drink (except water) for 8-12 hours before your test. If you're unsure, contact the practice that issued your request form.

Most routine blood test results are available within 24-48 hours. Some specialised tests may take longer. Your results will be sent to the doctor who ordered the tests, and they will contact you to discuss the findings.

Most tests bulk-billed through Medicare have no out-of-pocket cost. For questions about billing, fees, or specific test costs, please contact 4Cyte on 0411 024 079 directly. Mona Vale Doctors’ reception team are unable to answer 4Cyte billing queries.

Your pathology results are sent directly to the doctor who requested the tests. They will review your results and contact you to discuss them. You can also request copies of your results through the requesting practice.
